Every spring we celebrate Faith Promise Sunday, where we encourage our church family to step out in faith to commit a portion of their income to the work of missions around the world. We ask unashamedly, because of what Jesus Christ has done for each of us. We know that God has blessed us spiritually, physically and materially. He’s blessed our homes, our families, and our church, and we want others to know forgiveness, restoration, healing, strength, righteousness and the holy lives we have found!
Trusting that God will meet every need you have, please consider promising at least one week’s salary this year for the purpose of funding world missions. This offering is in addition to your tithe and local ministry gifts. Encourage your children to make a faith promise this year too. Your family will be blessed as you learn together about God’s provision, and as you teach them about giving out of a grateful heart so that others may hear about our Savior!
On Sunday, March 26th, we are excited to welcome guest speaker Ron Gilbert to talk about the impact of Faith Promise around the globe!
Ron and his wife, Dianna, served as global missionaries for fifteen years for the Church of the Nazarene serving in South Africa, Ghana West Africa and South Asia. Their most recent missionary assignment had Ron serving as the Field Strategy Coordinator/Field Director for South Asia. When Ron assumed leadership the South Asia Field consisted of the following countries: Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and a few other countries not able to be listed here. Dianna served as the Administrative Assistant for the Regional Director of Eurasia. Ron & Dianna officially “retired” on May 30, 2016 and Ron serves today as an on-call consultant for the South Asia Field, mission emphasis speaker, and interim/supply pastor.
