Trevecca Nazarene University
July 9-13: this is a week of serving in the Nashville area around Trevecca Nazarene University

About the event:

Since its founding in 1901, Trevecca has had a strong history of training people to lead, serve, and minister to others. This legacy of leadership and service is at the heart of Trevecca. It’s in that spirit the university launched Mission Nashville, a summer urban immersion camp.

Mission Nashville will provide churches with a fully organized mission trip for their youth–an opportunity for teens to see real need firsthand and respond to God’s command to be his hands, feet, and heart to others.

Each evening, corporate worship will be led by our guest speaker and one of Trevecca’s worship bands. Students will have the opportunity to make new friends, have fun, and spend time with youth from all over the country who share a passion for ministry to others.

Mission Nashville Shoe Drive

Our Afire Student Ministry is collecting sneakers for Mission Nashville to help those in need. The goal is 50 pairs of shoes by Sunday, July 8th! There will be a collection bin outside of the Teen Room (Room #204) starting this Sunday to collect shoes.

  • Only sneakers, tennis shoes, and athletic shoes can go in these bags.
  • Men's, women's, and children's accepted! Cleats work!
  • The only "canvas" type shoe that works as a sneaker is a Converse brand.
  • Please aim for sneakers that are gently worn and not sneakers that have tears or holes. (The cleanliness of the sneaker doesn't matter as much since they can be cleaned.)
  • Ask yourself the question, "Would you go walking or running in these shoes?" If the answer is yes, then they probably work!
